“We are proud to be the new stewards of this highly regarded award program that honors the organizations in our state that are leading by example with highly ethical standards,” said CNM President Katharine Winograd. “We’re glad that CNM was able to help the Samaritan Counseling Center ensure that this important award program will continue to showcase the most ethical organizations in New Mexico.”
CNM, CNM Ingenuity and the CNM Foundation will be involved and will expand the influence of the awards program that honors businesses, non-profits and leaders. Proceeds from the annual event will fund scholarships in the CNM Foundation that will be awarded to CNM students who are dedicated to ethics and an ethical career, and to support the development and delivery of ethics training programs through CNM Ingenuity. Ingenuity plans to begin offering the ethics training programs after the awards event in April 2018.
Students from the University of New Mexico’s Anderson School of Management will remain involved in the evaluation process for the New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards. Evaluation of nominations, which are well underway for the April 2018 event, are reviewed and vetted by the Ethics in Business Awards Nomination and Screening Committee. Finalists for awards go through an additional Q&A process led by students who were in Business Ethics courses during the 2017 fall term in the UNM Anderson School of Management.
In the non-profit category, CNM was a New Mexico Ethics in Business Award winner in 2015 and the CNM Foundation won in 2006. Winners for 2018 will be announced at the New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards event that will be held on April 25 at Sandia Resort.
