Mary Gallivan Joins CNM Ingenuity team as Senior Director of Program Management

Mary Gallivan comes to CNM Ingenuity with a long record of success helping nonprofits in fundraising and organizational excellence. Her interest in the nonprofit field came in her senior year of her undergraduate studies, while finishing her Psychology Degree at Duke University. During her college career, Mary was a lifeguard and competitive Synchronized Swimmer. As a result of her lifeguard training, Mary had the opportunity to work at one of Paul Newman’s Hole in the Wall Gang camps in Florida, Camp Boggy Creek. Her interest was sparked and she professes that: “It has been all nonprofit work from there”.

She went on to obtain her MBA from Queens University in Charlotte, and work with such notable organizations as: KaBOOM!, the Jimmie Johnson Foundation, Foundation For The Carolinas, and Tech Talent South. She has experience ranging from fundraising to serving as Executive Director, as well as business development and relationship management.

“I have chosen to work in non-profits because I believe in the work being done, and enjoy the challenge it presents”, she said.

Mary and her husband moved out to New Mexico from North Carolina for a change of pace and are excited to explore Albuquerque’s exciting food and brewery scene. They are both outdoor enthusiasts and have been enjoying weekend trips around the state. “There’s so much great stuff, within a short distance!” said Mary.

When asked what she’s excited about at CNMI, Mary said that she has been quite impressed by the reputation that CNM and CNM Ingenuity have been able to build as a positive force for Albuquerque, creating change and sustainable systems, and that she is impressed with CNM President Kathie Winograd’s vision. The CNM Ingenuity team is thrilled to welcome Mary, and look forward to having her help CNM Ingenuity grow
