    Join us for a 1-day, immersive workshop on marketing data and analytics. This hands-on session will allow students to work on real projects and practice their skills working with digital data to deliver insights, inform targeting and segmentation. Data lies at the heart of the next evolution of marketing. Marketers must master data to reach their customers with increasing precision and efficiency, uncover timely insights that inform strategy and execution, run A/B test-and-learn optimization programs and to understand the business impact of marketing efforts.
    This session will start with a real client brief and allow teams of students to collaborate and work with data and analytics to improve a marketing program.

    Students will:
    • Build a measurement model with key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Create customer targeting segments across multiple platforms – e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Google
    • Create a A/B test and optimization plan for Facebook
    • Design and deliver marketing performance reports that include email marketing, paid and organic social media marketing and content/site performance

    Students will:
    • Build a content marketing strategy based upon search and other insights
    • Draft a content production and publishing calendar
    • Create compelling articles and videos
    • Produce high-performing social promotions for content
    • Evaluate the marketing and business impact of content marketing

    Laura Hines is a part-time instructor at Central New Mexico Community College in the School of Business & Information Technology (BIT).  Laura holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of New Mexico where she found a passion for teaching within higher education.

    Theresa Torres is a full time instructor at Central New Mexico Community College in the School of Business & Technology (BIT).
