Medical Transcription Editor
As a medical transcriptionist, you’ll be typing (i.e. transcribing) audio recordings of doctors’ notes for patients’ medical records. You can also opt for an editing position, where you’ll proof and correct reports generated by speech-recognition software. This program is self-paced, can be completed in as little as 12 months, and fully-online.

Medical Coding and Billing Professional
The topics include electronic medical records, anatomy and physiology, health information management, telehealth skills and comprehensive medical terminology. In addition to one-on-one support from experienced trainers throughout the course, learners also receive industry code books, access to an online reference library, hands-on experience with 3M encoding software as you practice with actual medical records, and one free voucher to sit for the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification exam.

Future Offerings

Flexible Endoscope Reprocessing

This course prepares personnel working in sterile processing to clean and sterilize flexible endoscopes according to best practices and clinical guidelines. This is an 8-hr, self-pace, online course that participants are required to successfully complete in one week. Upon successful completion of the course in that week, participants may attend an 8 hr. face-to-face lab on Saturday 4/26 starting at 8 a.m.

Dates offered are April 21-25, with in person lab on Sat. 4/26. Price is $499. Funding is available.
